3. Vineyard Village Outdoor Option - Sunset Deck with Gazebo overlooking Dam

All Packages Include:
- Exclusive use of the areas chosen at Bakenhof Wedding Venue.
- Accommodation and breakfast for guests as specified in various packages.
- Use of Bakenhof grounds for photographs for the duration of package booked.
- Bakenhof Service and Cleaning Staff for the duration of Ceremony and Reception.
- Bakenhof will do the basic set-up i.e. provide and place tables and chairs as required.
- The Caterer includes the services of a Chef, Kitchen Staff and Waiters as well as cutlery and crockery in the Catering Quote.
- White table cloths and serviettes.
- Furniture includes:
- Indoor/Outdoor Use – 15 Wine Barrels.
- Indoor use – 100 high-back leather chairs (89 dark brown, 5 medium brown and 6 off-white).
- Outdoor use – 100 PVC Garden Chairs with white chair covers.
- 7 tables of 900mm x 1800mm + 10 tables of 700mm x 1800 mm + 7 tables of 900mm x 900 mm.

On-Site Bakenhof Coordinator – R 1 000 per Function
Our standard co-ordination service includes the following:
- One 60 minute complimentary consultation/ meeting to discuss the function details
liaising with the parties concerned i.e. suppliers and service providers
table layout and setting
- overseeing full venue set-up including ceremony, pre reception and reception
- on the day or night co-ordination
- Further coordination and consultation services will be charged accordingly or at R 300 per hour, or part thereof
- Catering
Various menus are available and can be tailored to suit your individual taste and budget. For quality and logistical reasons, the it is preferred that the bridal couple employ the services of a Bakenhof Preferred Caterer.
Menu’s start at R 250 per person, which includes Chef, Kitchen Staff, Waiters, cutlery
After dinner Tea, Coffee and Wedding Cake Service, including cutting and serving of the cake, and storing the wedding cake at R 25 per person..
The Caterer shall quote the Client directly and per person, and add R 3 500 as a Kitchen Fee. This Kitchen Fee will be paid by the Caterer to Bakenhof for the use of Bakenhof’s kitchen, facilities, equipment and infrastructure.
The Caterer will enter into a separate agreement with the bridal couple, and a Sample Menu or Tasting can be arranged, at an additional charge.
Should you wish to employ your own Caterer then the following will apply:
- R 5 000 Kitchen Fee ( to use our facilities and equipment)
- The Caterer shall supply all cutlery, crockery, waiters, service staff, kitchen staff, kitchen and baking equipment and utensils.
- If you choose your own Caterer you are responsible for any breakages and damages
- If the kitchen is left unclean an R 1 000 fine will be charged to your account
- Catering may not be done by friends or family members unless they are professional caterers
Tea and Coffee available from R 15 per person
- Bar
Bar Option 1 – Bakenhof Bar Service – No Fee
- No Fee – we provide a stocked bar and sell beverages at our bar rates.
- Please arrange for the bar to be cash or account. If an account bar is to be available, the bar limit/ estimated consumption is to be provided and is payable 14 days in advance.
- Please provide Bakenhof with a Drinks List 14 days prior to the Function.
- Includes complimentary Bar Unit.
- Includes Glasses, ice and ice buckets.
- Includes Barman but excludes tips for Barman.
- Bakenhof Wine and Water at prices below.
- Corkage as below.
- The balance of the bar account is due with the final payment.
Bar Option 2 – BYO
- Bridal couple buy and supply own drinks and containers to cool and store drinks.

Please ensure that you deliver your drinks 24 hours prior to the Function together with a complete list of the items, checked and accepted by Bakenhof.
Corkage – R 30 per bottle of wine, sparkling wine and champagne.

Dry White Wine – R 64 per bottle
Dry Rose Wine – R 64 per bottle
Dry Red Wine – R 70 per bottle
Bakenhof Table Water – Bakenhof Still and Sparkling Mineral Water available at R 15.50 per 1liter and R 9.50 per 500 ml. We do not have access to municipal water and therefore only provide Mineral Water as drinking water.
Welcome Drinks available from R 20 per person.
Tea and Coffee available from R 15 per person.
- The bar will close at 00:00 am, but if requested that the bar remains open past 0:00 am, a charge of R 2 000 per hour, or part thereof, until 2:00 am, which is the latest time the bar will remain open.
- A wine tasting at R30 per person can arranged for the guests arriving earlier for the function. This needs to be pre-arranged with the Bakenhof events co-ordinator.
- A Bar Service Fee equal to 10% of the total Bar Bill, including corkage, cash bar and account bar will be added to the final Bar Fee.
Venue Overtime: R 1 000 per hour, or part thereof, after 24h00.
Additional Catering: Coffee/Tea and home baked chocolate cake at R 25 per person. Other food or beverages during the entire reception other than ordered and agreed in advance.
Bakenhof Wedding Planner – an additional service to assist in planning the wedding, sourcing subcontractors and supplies, presenting ideas and solutions and co-ordinating payments. Available on request.
Tips for Bar Man, Bakenhof service and cleaning staff.
Photographs: The venue fee includes the use of the Guesthouse and grounds as a backdrop for photos. Arrange your own photographer, take your own pictures or as an option allow us to co-ordinate this as part of our duties as your Wedding Planner.
Flowers and Décor: Arrange your own additional furniture, décor and flowers or as an option allow us to co-ordinate this as part of our duties as your Wedding Planner. Please note that we only provide flowers for bedrooms occupied by guests – all other flowers in any public area excluded.
Music and technical equipment:
Clients may rent the Bakenhof’s PA and Music DJ system at R 3 000 per function:
- Features and capabilities include MP3, CD, DVD, IPOD and sound effects
- Only Bakenhof staff to operate the System
- The Client may supply their own music compilations – in this case it must be delivered no later than 24 hours prior to the start of the Function
- Clients may also use a selection of Bakenhof Compilations, or compile their own compilation from the Bakenhof Play List
- Should Clients not make use of the Bakenhof System, then
- Clients must arrange their own music and sound equipment such as speakers, microphones etc.
- Musicians and DJ are welcome to visit the venue beforehand to plan their positioning and that of their equipment – please note that musicians and DJ’s are not allowed to move or tamper with the Bakenhof Sound System.
- Musicians and DJ’s must bring their own equipment, electrical extensions, tables and special furniture
- Musicians and DJ’s will be considered as guests of the Client, and thus charged for food and beverages consumed, which will be for the account of the Client
- Bakenhof staff will not be held responsible or assist in any music or entertainment via laptop or IPOD or assist in any DJ activities, including moving and carrying equipment
Bakenhof accepts no responsibility for the quality of service and music, or lack thereof, or the compatibility of a DJ or musicians equipment with the Bakenhof infrastructure
Other specialized equipment and services – Dance floor, special lighting, lanterns, wedding cars, wedding gifts, paper umbrellas, rose petals, bubbles and confetti ( only bio gradable allowed) Gate Guard, Valet Parking, 20 meter Red Carpet, vases and table décor, flowers, candles, candelabras, table runners, draping and other table decorations, signage, seating plans, menus’, programmes and stationery.
